Kanchenjunga Trekking

Kanchenjunga is the world's 3rd highest mountain which is located in the far north eastern corner of Nepal near bordering Sikkim, which is considered as the one of the most beautiful mountain massifs in the world. Kanchenjunga Trek trails are opened for foreigners in 1988 for trekking. The name Kanchenjunga means five treasures of the great snow which reference to the five summits that make up Kanchenjunga. This trekking trail is less crowded and you will be rewarded with a unique insight into Nepali rural lifestyle and its rich culture too and really paradise for the adventure lovers. Actually Kanchenjunga is a remote and undeveloped area as compared to other trekking destinations of Nepal.
Along the trails, trekkers used to make their way to the wild east of Nepal. Here trekkers get an opportunity of a great walking through terraced fields, forests of birch, bamboo and rhododendron. Himalayan bear, barking deer and the lesser panda are among the rich animal and bird life that fill most of part of Kanchenjunga trekking. The breathtaking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Makalu with beautiful glaciers offers further excitement to all trekkers along this trekking trails. Over 2000 different kinds of flowering plants have been recorded here, and you’ll see some of the richest rhododendron forests in Nepal. New species are still being discovered in the pristine forests!
On this trails we will found culture of Tibetan Buddhism. Hinduism is the main religion on the Nepal side of the border, where the tiny hill villages are inhabited by Rai and Limbu farmers. During Kanchenjunga treks, one is bound to have an unforgettable experience of difference that cannot be found somewhere else in the world.

Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu international airport. Transfer to the hotel. Orientation of
the trip. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Biratnagar by flight. O/n in hotel at Biratnagar.
Day 03: Morning fly to Taplejung. Afternoon trek to Lali Khark. O/n at Canmp.
Day 04: Lali Khark   to Kade Bhanjang (2200m). O /n in camp.
Day 05: Kade Bhanjang to Phurungde (1965m). O/n in tent.
Day 06: Phurungde to Yamphuding (2300m). O /n in camp.
Day 07: Yamphuding to Omje khola(2345m). O /n in camp.
Day 08: Omje Khola to Torontan(2990m). O /n in camp.
Day 09: Torantan to Tseram(3870m). O /n in camp.
Day 10: Rest in Tseram. O /n in camp.
Day 11: Tseram to Ramche(4625m). O /n in camp.
Day 12: Rest and Explore around the Yalung Base Camp.Back to the Ramche. O /n in camp.
Day 13: Ramche to Yalung (4800m). O /n in camp.
Day 14: Yalung to Selele Pass(5109m). O /n in camp.
Day 15: Selele Pass to Ghunsa (3425m). O /n in camp.
Day 16: Ghunsa to Khambachen(3960m). O /n in camp.
Day 17: Khambachen to Pangpema(4940m). O /n in camp.
Day 18: Day hike to the Kangchenjunga Base Camp. Back to the Pangpema. O /n in camp.
Day 19: Pangpema  to  Khambachen. O /n in camp.
Day 20: Khamgbachen to  Ghunsa. O /n in camp.
Day 21: Rest in Ghunsa. O /n in camp.
Day 22: Ghunsa  to  Kyapra. O /n in camp.
Day 23: Kyapra to Sekhathum. O /n in camp.
Day 24: Sekhathum  to  Chirwa. O /n in camp.
Day 25: Chirwa to  Phurunde (2000m). O /n in camp.
Day 26: Phurumba  to  Suketar(Taplejung) . O /n in camp.
Day 27: Morning fly to Biratnagar. Late afternoon fly back to Kathmandu. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 28: Free days at Kathmandu

Day 29: Departure your onwards destination
